Become more independent in your quest for images. Find photos that are copyright safe, format them to fit your needs, and properly credit sources.
An easy way to start locating copyright-free media is to search Creative Commons licensed material on Flickr. Flickr contains many thousands of images, even with the least restrictive "Attribution" license. Attribution means that you are allowed to copy, distribute, display, and perform the copyrighted work - and derivatives based upon it, meaning that you can make changes to it - but only if you give credit to the license owner.

Now that you know where to look, search for an image that you like, and save the image to your desktop or flash drive. Creating an account with Flickr allows you to save images to your Favorites for later access.
