As with Screenr, Jing records everything in one shot with no post-recording editing options, so remember that you want to have an idea in advance what you want to say, leave some some time at the end for a "to be continued" sort of a statement, if needed, and if you don't like the finished recording, don't fuss about it!

By creating a folder in Screencast, a series of videos can be embedded to Blackboard or other webpage. The folder has embed code to create a video list, MCLI folder shown below. Make sure to name videos in a sequential order, so when sorting by name, numerically the videos will appear in order. Also let you students know to expect another video to follow as part of your series.
IN THE WORKSHOP TODAY, participants were asking about "Picture-in-Picture" (PIP) capabilities when screencasting. For a long time, only a pricey tool like Camtasia would give this feature, but Jing Pro ($15/year) now offers webcam capabilities, allowing for PIP. Here's a demo from YouTube:
